I hope the start of the New Year is bringing welcomed growth and renewal to you all. Certainly that is the case for IPPI, and I am grateful to have you on this journey as we continue to live into our mission, vision, and core values.
As you well know, there is a lot going on at IPPI, and I want to share some highlights with you.
Since my last update, Melodie Peet has taken on a new SLT role as Director of Program Development. A new position for the agency, Melodie will visit programs in all of our state operations, exploring how our programs serve the mission. She will help us, while collaborating with the SLT and the state SMTs, to define and refine our service delivery model(s) as we move towards our vision of becoming the provider of choice. Melodie will transition into this new role over the next couple of months while we work on hiring a new State Director for the Connecticut operations. Please join me in welcoming Melodie into her new role.
As you may recall, IPPI is undergoing a Business Process Initiative (BPI) to assess all our financial systems and processes and bring them into alignment with industry best practices while ensuring consistency between all of our state-based operations. The project is well underway. Phase I and II are complete, and we now have documented and consistent processes. Phase III of the project, the redesign work for our Great Plains accounting software, is currently in process. A lot of great work continues to occur and the finish line is in sight! Our strategic plan, 20/20 Vision, is moving right along as well. Responsible Teams are providing recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team, and ideas and recommendations are being executed and deployed throughout the agency. As of December, eighty percent of our strategic plan goals are on track or only slightly behind schedule. This is excellent news and a testament to the team of leaders charged with shepherding this process. We have begun the search for a project manager to help guide us through the many steps required for implementation.
In an effort to expand IPPI’s good work into Vermont, I am pleased to announce that we are opening a clinical practice in our Vermont office. We are now in the process of hiring clinicians, developing QA measures, connecting with potential referral sources in the community, and readying the Vermont office to welcome clients. It will be wonderful to begin offering services in Vermont, the state in which IPPI was born more than thirty-five years ago. We expect to begin services in Vermont by mid-March.
